Early voting is underway in Jackson and 354 ballots were cast on the first day of the election for Mayor of Jackson and City Council.

Early voting is being held at the auditorium in the Madison County Agriculture Complex, 311 North Parkway in Jackson, and continues through April 27.

Voting hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., weekdays – Saturday hours will be from 9 a.m. until noon.

In order to vote in person, you must present a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee such as a driver’s license or a handgun permit.

The General Election will be held May 2.
