The Jackson Christian Eagles have been one of the premier teams around West Tennessee this season. The Eagles find themselves halfway through January with a win-loss record of 14-5; which puts the Eagles squarely in the driving seat for the Region first seed nod.
The Eagles’ strong play this season can be attributed to their stellar defensive play. They have the Region’s best defensive rating; holding opponents to only 37.2 points
The Eagles next game against Natchez Trace will continue their four-game home stint in the Eagles’ Nest since January 13th. They will face Natchez Trace and Fayette Academy before they go on the road again. The home stay looks to give Jackson Christian time to fine tune an already crafty offense and stonewall their defense.
With the playoffs less than a month away, being comfortable at home is crucial for the region-leading Eagles seeing as they will most likely have home-court advantage if they continue their trajectory.
The TSSAA High-School Boys’ Basketball playoffs begin February 11th.
