(December 20, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- 6 years ago, the Jackson Hunger Project donated 10,000 cans of food for donation.
The tradition continues this year as they donated the 10,000 cans to the Dream Center. Gail Gustafson, Executive Director of the Dream Center, explains what they do.

Jackson City Councilman Ernest Brooks II, who spearheaded the project, was on hand to present the 10,000 cans to the Dream Center. Gustafson discussed her excitement about the donation.

Other groups, such as the Jackson Chapter of Jack and Jill, and the NAACP Youth Council made multi-can donations to the project.
This can drive isn’t the only time the Dream Center accepts donations.
