Logan Hampton, the president of Lane College, has announced he is leaving his position July 31.
Hampton, who could not be reached for comment, issued the following statement –
I celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of Lane College’s students, faculty and staff. I am grateful for ten (10) years of support from the Lane College board and for the love the entire Jackson, TN community has shown me and my family.
Dr. Hampton was named the Exchange Club’s Man of the Year, in May 2022.
He was the organization’s 76th ‘Man of the Year,’ an award based on contributions to the community outside of one’s profession.
Dr. Hampton, the 10th president in Lane College history, is a member of Jackson Energy Authority’s Board of Trustees, Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA), Council of Independent Colleagues (CIC), and the Governor’s Council on Judicial Appointments.
