JACKSON, Tenn.— Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide at the Bank of Jackson on 132 W. University Pkwy today. Shortly before 10:00 a.m., Jackson police received a call of a disturbance at the bank. Around that same time, they received a 911 call indicated a robbery at the bank.

Witnesses say employees at the bank ran to the Sonic drive-in across the street seeking help. According to sources, police arrived at the bank to find two deceased subjects— the first victim, a female was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound. The second victim, a male, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say the shooting appears to be the result of workplace domestic violence. Bank of Jackson CEO Harbert Alexander, Jr. was on the scene, but made no official comment on the situation.
Authorities have not released the names of the victim or the shooter at this time.
