The City of Jackson is pleased to announce the hire of Don Friddle as the new Deputy Chief of Operations for the Jackson Fire Department.
According to a press release from Kenneth Cummings – Communications Director, City of Jackson -Friddle, a Jackson resident since 1990, has approximately 30 years of firefighting experience, including Fire Marshal and District Chief with the city of Jackson from 1992-2004 – volunteer service and later fulltime – with the Madison County Fire Department.
“My fire department family just got larger and I’m honored to have the position and to be able to serve alongside the Jackson Fire Department firefighter and to serve the citizens of Jackson,” Friddle said.
Friddle will work alongside Jackson Fire Chief Darryl Samuels.
“Don is experienced,” Samuels said. “He is a veteran in the fire service and I think he will be a great asset to the Jackson Fire Department in the capacity of Deputy Chief of Operations.
“I look forward to working with him.”
Friddle’s will begin on Monday, December 2.
