Jackson, Tennessee – As construction of Georgia-Pacific’s new Dixie facility in Jackson nears its halfway point, the company is not only building a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility but also forging strong connections with the local community.
Georgia-Pacific recently completed a community-driven campaign, underscoring their commitment to being truly invested in the city of Jackson.
According to a press release from Mykenzy Norman – B3 Creative Agency – in a unique approach, Dixie partnered with community stakeholders to create an exclusive video highlighting its dedication to the area.
The video features City Mayor Scott Conger, County Mayor AJ Massey and local business owners including Jerry Corley of Rock ‘N Dough, Peter Thomas of Hub City Deli, and Regina and Jacob Richmond of Skillet Junction. Dixie also collaborated with additional local restaurants for outdoor and digital campaigns.
“We are more than a new manufacturing facility in Jackson; we are a part of this community,” said Mike Cook, Georgia-Pacific’s Plant Director. “We are here to grow, innovate, and above all, contribute to Jackson’s vibrant culture and economy.”
This initiative has been far-reaching, with Georgia-Pacific also collaborating with local restaurants for outdoor and online campaigns. Featured local favorites included Tulum, Asia Garden, How Sweet It Is by Tim, and Old Town Spaghetti Store.
