South Side High School’s football team had a devil of a time getting out of Jackson and heading for White House High School, where they will face the Blue Devils at 7 p.m., in the second round of the TSSAA Class 4A playoffs.
Brake problems shut down the charter bus owned by West Tennessee Motor Coach from Paris outside the South Side Field House.
Buses from the Jackson-Madison County School System were used to transport the team to White House, which is north of Nashville and about three hours from Jackson.
