Alec Mills, a pitcher with the Chicago Cubs, no-hit the Milwaukee Brewers, today.
Mills a former walk-on at UT-Martin, and a 22nd round draft pick by the Kansas City Royals in 2012, was in the Cubs rotation due to injuries.
Mills struck out five batters, walked three, and threw just 114 pitches – 74 for strikes – in the 12-0 win.
It’s the sixteenth no-hitter in Cubs history, and the first since Jake Arrieta no-hit the Reds in 2017.
