Crockett County Cavalier Madi Collins (senior) has helped her team to a 16-6 record this season with spectacular play, but it is her defense that has her name now in the record books at Crockett County High School. Collins, selected as the female ‘Athlete of the Week’ presented by Jackson State Community College, tied then later set the new block record (222) for a Cavalier during the Donelson Christian Academy Invitation gold division last week. Collins finished the Invitational with 16 aces, 36 kills, .296 hitting percentage and 16 blocks.
” It feels good to know that I can be an example for the younger players on the team and to be able to break a record. I feel like I have put a lot of time and effort into this, so its a great accomplishment” – Madi Collins Crockett County High School.
“We’ve been super blessed to have Madi playing for us over the years. Her success and accomplishments don’t happen overnight, its a result of all the hours she has put into her game. Adding another layer, she is so humble about it. She doesn’t boast or brag about it, she doesn’t put on a big show after making a big play, she just shows up and plays.
