Cooper Dunn takes a three-shot lead into round two of the Albert A. Stone Jr. Cup Golf Tournament, Sunday, at Jackson National Golf Club.
Dunn, a graduate of Jackson Christian, and member of the Harding University golf team, shot a 68 at Woodland Hills Golf & Country Club, Saturday.
Aaron Ingalls completed his first round with a 71 and John Sain is seven shots back at third after shooting a 75.
Coleman Wingate leads the seniors after shooting a 74.
Claire Henson shot a 97 to take the first round lead in the women’s tournament.
Following play Sunday, the first 16 finalists qualify to play for the Stone Cup, which recognizes the winners as the top amateurs in Jackson-Madison County.
The first four in the seniors division qualify for the tournament’s semifinals.
