JACKSON Tenn (May 5, 2015) – A Jackson man faces additional charges after trying to bring contraband into the Madison County Jail
On Monday Jackson Police were called to Lincoln Court for two males trespassing. Â The officers identified a suspect by his description as Cordereous Reid. Â Reid was sitting in a vehicle, he had been warned about being in the area and was on a no trespass list. Â Reid was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail.
While Mr Reid was being booked and processed 2 clear bags containing what was later determined to be marijuana were found in his possession.
Reid faces two drug-related charges as well as introducing contraband into a jail and criminal trespassing.
Reid has a prior drug related criminal history

In June of 2012, the Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit served a narcotics search warrant at 23 Woodberry Trail in west Jackson which officers found to be occupied by Cordareous Reid.
In the search of the residence, officers found approximately 145.3 grams of Marijuana in multiple packages, approximately 2.2 grams of powder Cocaine in multiple packages, approximately .7 gram of Crack Cocaine, a loaded 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun, three digital scales and additional packaging materials.
Cordareous Devonte Reid was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Dangerous Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
