Jackson mayor Scott Conger has announced he will seek re-election in 2023.

Conger made the public announcement Tuesday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

On the @MayorScottConger Facebook page, the first-term mayor wrote: “Serving as your mayor is the greatest honor of my professional life.  I’m excited to announce that I will be seeking re-election in the May 2023 election!

I humbly ask for your prayers, your support and your vote.

Let’s show the world what Jackson, TN is all about!

I’m so appreciative of all of the support our campaign has received, so far.

Now is the time to dream big for Jackson, and do the things we used to think were impossible!”

No challengers for Jackson’s chief executive spot have been announced at this time.
