JACKSON, Tennessee – The City of Jackson is hosting a community workshop, Thursday, August 19, which will serve as part of the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenways Master Plan.
This master plan will identify improvements to increase the safety and comfort of people walking and bicycling in the City of Jackson.
Open to the public, the in-person open house workshop will be held at City Hall from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the Ben Langford Meeting Room. Attendees are invited to drop in at any time and share ideas to improve walking and bicycling in Jackson.
In addition to the open house, online opportunities are available on the plan webpage,
including an interactive map and survey.
The interactive map allows anyone to place comments on specific locations and share opportunities and challenges related to walking and bicycling.
The online survey allows the public to comment on goals, key destinations, preferences regarding facility types, and how walking and bicycling projects should be prioritized.
