JACKSON, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, TN and Keep Jackson Beautiful are pleased to announce the return of Chipping of the Greens, a Christmas tree recycling initiative.
Starting today, through Thursday January 8th, 2026, at 4 p.m., residents can drop off their live Christmas trees at one of three locations including North Park (front parking lot), Liberty Garden (west parking lot), Malesus Park (Old Malesus Rd. parking lot), or the City of Jackson, TN Fire Training Center (south parking lot). Trees will then be picked up and taken to the Fire Training Center to be turned into mulch. Mulch will be available for public pick-up-date on January 17th from 8-12pm or until we run out (pending weather and mulch).
Residents who would like their Christmas trees picked up can call our Health and Sanitation Department by dialing 3-1-1 or make a new request for “Christmas Tree Pick-up” via the Jackson, TN Connect app or by calling 3-1-1
Guidelines:
- No artificial trees
- All ornaments, lights, and other decorations must be removed from tree
