Madison County Highway Superintendent, Bart Walls, has authorized the closure of Christmasville Road for bridge repairs on TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023, and WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21, 2023.
Repairs will be performed on the Christmasville Road bridge over Duffy’s Creek, located approximately 300 feet north of the intersection with Friendship Road.
The road closure will be between the hours of 8:30 am. and 4:30 p.m., each day.
The road is planned to reopen each evening. All repair work is expected to be completed and the road re-opened, by the end of the workday on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21, 2023.
Traffic that normally travels Christmasville Road should utilize alternate routes, such as Old Medina Road, U.S. Highway 45 Bypass or S.R. 152 and U.S. Highway 70.
There will be detour route signage directing local traffic to use Watt Boone Road and Friendship Road. Truck traffic is encouraged to utilize the alternate routes. Please plan your daily commute on these days to allow for a few more minutes of drive time and be alert and considerate of the presence of highway workers.
Madison County Highway Department appreciates the cooperation and understanding of motorists while this work is completed.
