The first of three buildings has been demolished to make way for a Roundabout on North Highland Avenue between East Deaderick and West Deaderick Streets.
After the buildings have been demolished – and the debris has been removed – utilities have to be addressed and the City will also have to modify storm water that flows from East Deaderick and West Deaderick Streets.
Asphalt plants are closed during the winter, which means the area will not be paved until the spring of 2018.
The contract to build the roundabout was awarded to Ford Construction Company at a cost of $1,793,899.54.
