Brothers indicted on charges in fatal house party shooting

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Two brothers have been indicted on charges following a shooting at a Tennessee house party that left a teenage girl dead and several others wounded.

The Jackson Sun reports that a Haywood County grand jury Monday indicted Quin Love and his brother, Christian Ray Cottrell, on charges related to the June 26 shooting.

Authorities said Love opened fire on a crowd at the party, hitting 17-year-old Elia Hernandez, who was inside the house hiding from a fight outside. She was fatally shot in the abdomen.

At least one other person was shot while trying to break up the fight, and three others injured, including one seriously.

Love faces murder, attempted murder, assault and other charges. Cottrell also faces an assault charge.
