A body has been found inside a vehicle off East Chester Street near John Williams Road.
The vehicle was located about one-quarter of a mile off East Chester Street.

Around 8 a.m., April 2, Jackson police were called about an abandoned vehicle off
John Williams Road, which is near East Chester Street.
The vehicle was found upside down, in a creek.
The body of a black male was discovered inside the vehicle.
The vehicle and body matches the description of a person and vehicle that were
reported missing to Jackson police on March 29.
The body will be sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville to determine the identity and cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
