Beer Board approves 1 special occasion, 1 business permit; fines 2 convenience stores for illegal sales

The Jackson Beer Board approved permits for special occasion and one business and fined two convenience stores for illegal sales during their monthly meeting at Jackson City Hall, Tuesday.

 

Sarah Smith, representing Friends of the Heart, was approved for a Special Occasion permit for an event at 91 Stonebridge Road, to sell, store, and serve on August 1, 2026.

 

Roderick Moseley was approved for a business known as 45 Bar & Grill II DBA Krab Kingz, 104 West Chester Street, for selling, storing, and serving on the premises where sold.

Valero, a convenience store at 309 North Highland Avenue, had its beer license suspended for 30 days, but if a $1,500 fine is paid within seven days by Stephanie Hudnall, the suspension will be lifted.

 

Royal Discount Store, 1099 North Royal Street, had its beer license suspended for 30 days, but if a $1,500 fine is paid within seven days by owner Salah Mohamed, the suspension will be lifted.
