While all 16 Bed Bath & Beyond locations have been spared in the state of Tennessee, the national retailer is closing around 150 stores and laying off staff.
Sales in the second quarter slumped approximately 26 percent, which is calling for aggressive cutting costs.
Bed Bath & Beyond, 1081 Vann Drive, was not included in the first wave of 56 stores set to close across 21 states.
The retailer also said it plans to cut around 20 percent of corporate and supply-chain staff. By laying off staff and closing the stores, the company said it planned to reduce costs by $250 million in 2022.
