WNWS Digital has announced the debut of its digital streaming service on the streaming devices Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. The latest additions join Roku. These three streaming devices are the bulk of the digital streaming device market.
WNWS TV programming is available free of charge at all times, and can be seen in 1080p resolution. Users can search for “WNWS” on their respective device’s app store, and then add the WNWS app alongside their gallery of apps. WNWS TV can also be viewed on the wnws.com homepage.
The nine local talk shows originating on WNWS-FM “News Talk” 101.5 are available to be watched live throughout the week. Exclusive programming for WNWS TV will also be added in the coming days, as well as on-demand options for the streaming devices.
“Now that WNWS TV is available on the big three streaming devices [Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV], this truly makes the great programming of WNWS easily available to be enjoyed throughout the local market, and beyond,” said Jon Rawl, vice president of WNWS Digital and Video. “Coupled with the 30-year history of WNWS-FM 101.5 and the venerable website [wnws.com] and its more than 2 million annual visitors, WNWS now has a trifecta of high-quality local news and entertainment available in various media formats.”
One month after its May 3 launch, WNWS TV’s first audit revealed it is already surpassing more than 60,000 views each month. And those numbers will only continue to skyrocket.
