Agents Make Drug Arrests in West Tennessee

MILAN, Tenn.( June 18, 2015) –

Agents Arrest Three Following Meth Ring Investigation

MILAN, Tenn.( June 18, 2015) – Suspects may face additional charges after agents seize drugs and a cache of weapons from two Milan locations, one of which was across from a school.

Three men were arrested in Milan this week after agents with West Tennessee’s 28th District Drug Task Force found methamphetamine, marijuana, pills and weapons in two Milan homes.

On Monday, Thomas Carlson, William Shedd Junior and Vincent Vandiver were arrested by agents of the West Tennessee Drug Task Force after a six month investigation of a distribution ring, according to a news release.

Shedd and Carlson are accused of selling meth out of an address directly across from Milan Middle School.

According to the release, agents found more than one pound of crystal meth, approximately one ounce of marijuana and prescription pills. Officers value the meth seized at $50,000. Additionally, agents seized eight guns and almost $16,000 in cash.

All three suspects are being held in Gibson County Jail on $100,000 bond each.

According to the release, Shedd and Carlson could face an enhanced sentence for violation of the Drug Free School Zone Act.
