Before construction on the U-turn on the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass begins at Interstate 40 exit 80, a new convenience store is under construction at the entrance of Casey Jones Village.

When completed, the new store – 1929 U.S. 45 Bypass – will be an abbreviated manner of the previous store, and Mobil becomes the fuel of choice replacing Phillips 66 pumps.

The State of Tennessee purchased a portion of the property where the Phillips 66 convenience store was located.

The redesign of the roadwork also includes the rebuilding of the interstate on and off ramps at the 45 Bypass.
