JACKSON Tenn. – Four applications were approved and one was deferred when the Beer Board met Tuesday in the city council chambers.
A Feb. 10 event sponsored by the West Tennessee Women’s Center- Boots and Bling – at Jackson Fairgrounds Park, and a request from Richard ‘Jerry’ Corley Jr. for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at the STAR Center, Jan. 28.
The board approved a request to sell, store and serve beer at Cheddar’s Casual Cafe, 2116 Emporium Drive. The request was made after Mint Julip Restaurant operations of Lexington, Kentucky, sold the franchise back to Cheddar’s in Irving, Texas. Zain BP, 2268 Hollywood Drive, was also approved to sell, store and distribute beer for consumption off the premises.
A request for a permit from Airways Shell, 2268 Hollywood Drive, was deferred. The board is seeking background checks on the store manager.
The board scheduled a Jan. 26 Show Cause Hearing for Red Lobster – its second offense – for illegal sales to a minor.
