LyondellBasell – a leader in the global chemical industry creating solutions for everyday sustainable living – is expanding their rail spur on a 13-acre site – adjacent to its Jackson plant at 1035 Flex Drive.
The property was acquired in 2017 to allow increased onsite storage and staging of raw materials.
Through advanced technology and focused investments, LyondellBasell enables a circular and low carbon economy.
The LyondellBasell Jackson Plant was originally developed as a light manufacturing operation in the 1970’s and was converted into a polypropylene compounding operation in 1988.
The location originally had three compounding lines, but additional operations were added over the next 27 years, bringing the total to six commercial lines and one developmental line.
The Plant combines polypropylene resin with other materials to enhance the physical properties and prepare them for specific customer applications, such as parts for interior and exterior automotive applications.
