Shoplifting Turns Into Police Pursuit, Attempted Assault of an Officer

JACKSON Tenn (March 28, 2017) – What started out as a shoplifting call at the Kroger on Stonebrook Place in north Jackson around 11:45 A.M. turned into a police pursuit through downtown and into south Jackson.

At 11:46 A.M. Jackson Police received a call of a shoplifting at Kroger on Stonebrook in north Jackson.

Officers identified and observed 3 black suspects, 2 male and 1 female, leaving in a champagne-colored Buick, unknown year and make. The female was driving and police say, attempted to assault the officer using the car.

Police gave pursuit of the vehicle. The pursuit led through Jackson and to south Jackson. The car was last seen in south Jackson.

Police need the public’s help finding the car and the 3 suspects. The police are looking for 2 black males and a black female. The female was the driver of the vehicle that authorities say attempted to assault an officer. The vehicle is described as a Buick, champagne in color, with temporary tags, and possible damage to the right or right front side.
