JACKSON, Tenn. – A man accused of child rape has made an appearance in court.  Kelvin Golden is accused of raping an 11-year-old boy

Golden was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on a count of rape of a
child.

Instead, the judge granted prosecutors request for a mental evaluation of
Golden.

Golden remains in custody in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
