JACKSON, Tenn. – The man and woman team are suspected of robbing an Exxon in north Jackson. According to authorities, Taylor Ellington and Holly Roberson are charged in the Tuesday night north Jackson robbery of the Exxon on Kenworth Drive.
According to court papers around 7:20 p.m. a masked man robbed the store clerk and then fled on foot toward Christmasville Road. Police say store surveillance video shows Ellington take off the mask while running across the store’s parking lot. An employee was able to identify the man in the video as a customer According to a witness a black Buick Rendezvous driven by a white woman leaving the area.
Investigators learned that Ellington’s girlfriend, Roberson, drove a vehicle matching the description, according to the affidavit. Ellington and Roberson were located around midnight at a motel on the Highway 45 Bypass.
Investigators interviewed both suspects and they say Ellington admitted to the robbery. Ellington and Roberson are charged with aggravated robbery. Both are being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond each.
