JACKSON, Tenn. – South Side High School agriculture students got a helping hand from an
unlikely source, confiscated drug seizures.
Trucks loaded with items seized by the Metro Narcotics Drug Task Force
were delivered to the school. The Metro Drug Task Force is a joint agency
made up of Jackson Police Department officers and deputies from the Madison
County Sheriffs Office.
Filters, heaters and lights to help with temperature control that are used
by the ag students in their green house.
Sheriff John Mehr says the department is always looking for ways to give
back to the community especially to education. This helps the students and
saves taxpayer dollars.
