The defendant accused in the death of Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
Special Agent De’Greaun Frazier had a court appearance Thursday.
23 year old Brenden Burns was scheduled for a preliminary hearing.
Instead, the judge ordered a mental evaluation.
Burns faces one count of murder in the perpetration of attempted
aggravated robbery.
The District attorney’s office says Burns could face the death penalty if
convicted.
Burns is charged with shooting special agent Frazier will attempting to
rob him during an undercover drug buy.
