Teenager Charged with Murder After Brownsville House Party Shooting

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and felony reckless endangerment in connection with a shooting at a Haywood County house party that left a teenage girl dead and two others with gunshot wounds.

Citing court records, news outlets report that Quin Love is being held without bond after having been arraigned Monday in connection with the early Sunday shooting. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

Authorities say Love fired 10 rounds from a handgun into a crowd at the party, hitting three people, including 17-year-old Elia Hernandez.

Haywood County Sheriff Melvin Bond says Hernandez was inside the house, hiding from a fight outside, when she was fatally shot in the abdomen.

Investigators say Love also shot 22-year-old Jonathan Davis and 19-year-old Carlos Savage. Both have been released from the hospital.
