After plenty of trials and tribulations, the Dream Center of Jackson cut the ribbon on their new home located on the 11 acres of land next to the Northside Assembly Church of God on Oil Well Road.

The new building will have the ability to house up to 125 women and children, and was completely funded by private donors. The community celebrated this accomplishment with ceremony and dedication.
JP Vick, Lead Pastor at Northside Assembly Church of God, prayed over the building and its mission to kick off the event.

“Lord, you have built this house,” Vick prayed. “Let your power do incredible things in this place as souls get rescued, lives get changed and no dark weapon formed against prospers and every opposition fails.”
Randy Carter, Pastor at Northside Assembly Church of God from 1993 to 2019, returned to Jackson to speak at the grand opening of a facility that he only dreamed of a few years ago.

“We are standing in the middle of a dream come true,” said Carter. “Show me your dream and I’ll know the size of your faith because big dreams flow out of big faith and a big God.”
Carter went on to discuss some of the hardships that the Dream Center of Jackson has faced and preached a message of “Wake up, get up and listen up,” to anyone who has a dream.

“The fulfillment of the dream that we see before us should light a fire in our hearts to keep dreaming bigger dreams,” said Carter. “Dream God sized dreams for this community and the people that so desperately need it.”
Gail Gustafson, executive director of the Dream Center of Jackson, has seen this dream through for the better part of 20 years.

“God knew this vision 30 years ago, before we even thought about it,” said Gustafson. “It will absolutely blow your mind what God can do and the people that he can put together.”
The Dream Center is a faith-based educational ministry for women and women with children. The women they serve have experienced crisis and/or loss in their lives.

They provide basic needs for their women, assist with job readiness, resume building, finding gainful employment, and any other service that will prepare the women to achieve success.
