The Jackson Police Department has issued a Flood Warning until 4:15 p.m., today, but flash floods have already forced evacuations in Green Acres Trailer Park in Union City.
The National Weather Service at Memphis said early Friday morning that more than 10 inches of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours in parts of the Missouri bootheel and northwest Tennessee, which includes Union City in Obion County.
Gibson Electric Membership Corporation has 328 members’ homes and businesses without power and 29 outage trouble spots. The outages are scattered throughout the cooperative’s 12-county service area. Crews are continuing to work and will restore power as soon as is safely possible.
Members can track our outages at http://outagemap.gibsonemc.com or through the free Gibson EMC app. If you are without power, but your outage is not showing on Gibson EMC’s Outage Map, you should report it.
It is best and easiest to report using the free Gibson EMC app. Just download it through the Apple App Store or Android Market.
