JACKSON, Tennessee – On July 28, 2022, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force captured Jonathon Goodrum, 35, who was wanted in Carroll and Obion Counties for charges related to his violent sex offender status.
Goodrum was convicted in 2006 of Attempted Rape of a Child in Carroll County, and had been a fugitive since he forcibly removed his GPS tracking ankle bracelet. He was wanted in Carroll County for Intentional Tampering with a GPS Device, Violation of the Sex Offender Registry Law, and Violation of Community Supervision for Life.
Goodrum was being supervised in Obion County. Based on his new charges, the Obion County Criminal Clerk’s Office issued a violation warrant on July 25. The Two Rivers Task Force in Jackson determined that Goodrum was at an address on Old State Route 22 in Gleason, Tennessee.
Three days after the violation warrant was issued, he was taken into custody without incident.
