The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms six additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 301 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 68-year-old male (died 10/4/21)
- 37-year-old female (died 9/29/21)
- 73-year-old female (died 10/1/21)
- 79-year-old male (died 10/1/21)
- 38-year-old male (died 10/2/21)
- 52-year-old male (died 10/1/21)
The health department has received positive test results for 83 more cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021. We now have 17,931 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 16,920 have recovered.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
