KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Union University men’s soccer team climbed two spots in this week’s United Soccer Coaches National Rankings to No. 8.
According to a press release from Steven Aldridge, Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communication at Union University – the No. 8 national ranking is the highest in Union men’s soccer history.
Union’s previous NCAA high ranking was No. 10, held last week, and also in the 2020-21 final ranking. Union’s previous program-high ranking was a No. 9 spot in 2006 while members of the NAIA.
Union went 1-0-1 last week with a win at Trevecca Nazarene and a tie at Lincoln Memorial. Union’s undefeated streak was extended to nine straight games. Union is 8-0-1 in the previous nine games dating back to last season.
Union is 3-0-1 this season and will open Gulf South Conference play on the road this weekend with games at Shorter and Lee.
