Former convenience store property on North Highland Avenue sells for $143,000
Owners of Racetrac Petroleum Inc. have sold 2305 North Highland Avenue – a former Racetrac convenience store – to AAA Holdings LLC, for $143,000
The sale adds to the list of convenience stores in Jackson that have been sold in the last six months.
Horizon, 340 Parkstone Place – near the Ballpark at Jackson – was purchased by J&S Food Mart for $1,680,000 in late June or early July.
Willoughby Holdings Inc., sold the business to J&S Food Mart.
In June, Flash Market LLC, 2184 Hollywood Drive, was sold to ANSH Properties Inc., for $2,500,000.
In February, property at 29 Kenworth Blvd. – near Speedway and Pilot Travel Center – was sold for $1.5 million.
Express Food Mart & Deli is located at the property purchased by 29 Kenworth LLC from Ziyad Qaadan.
LL Flooring opening at former location of Pier 1 on Vann Drive
LL Flooring is scheduled to open at 1241 Vann Drive in mid- to late September.
The 3,500 square foot facility is the former home of Pier 1 imports, which closed April 28.
LL Flooring, in business for over 25 years, with over 400 locations nationwide, began as Lumber Liquidators in 1996 when Tom Sullivan, a building contractor, began purchasing excess wood and wood flooring that other companies didn’t need and reselling it from the back of a trucking yard in Massachusetts.
During the next 20 years, the company grew steadily and expanded its selection to include vinyl, laminate, engineered hardwood and bamboo, offering over 400 floors in both traditional looks and the latest on-trend styles.
In April 2020, Lumber Liquidators officially changed its name to LL Flooring – No lumber. No liquidation.
Westwind Investments purchases south Jackson shopping center for $1 million plus
Westwind Investments LLC has purchased a 4,400 square foot shopping center at 2095 South Highland Avenue for $1,193,300.
Trifecta Capital LLC sold the center to Westwind Investments LLC, which is located between Walmart and Lowe’s.
Tenants include Cato Fashions and GameStop.

Hollywood Shopping Center sells for $1 million plus
Jackson’s oldest shopping center has been sold for $1,149,000.
The Katare family Revocable Trust bought Hollywood Shopping Center, 900 Hollywood Drive, from Gorjian Hollywood Drive.
The shopping center which was constructed in 1962, consists of 48,900 square feet.
Tenants include Save-A-Lot, Family Dollar, Rent-A-Center, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and Cashmaster.
