JPD charges 2 in North Parkway homicide; search continues for 3rd suspect

From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 1341 North Parkway around 8:20 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021.

When officers arrived they found 18-year-old, Tanyarris Maxwell, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.

Mr. Maxwell was transported by EMS to Jackson Madison County General Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department have charged two of the three suspects responsible for the murder of Mr. Maxwell.

Nicholas Ivie, 19 years-old, and Kevon Womack, 21 years-old, have been arrested and were arraigned this morning in Jackson City Court on First Degree Murder charges.

Investigators need assistance locating the third suspect, 19-year-old Quadarious Greer.

The Jackson Police Department is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of Greer.
