The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 68-year-old male died April 14 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 233 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for nine more cases of COVID-19. We now have 11,285 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,929 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 8 to 75.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
One Madison County resident is currently hospitalized. That patient is not on a ventilator.
