University School of Jackson’s Ryan Rolison, the Colorado Rockies 2018 first-round Draft pick from Ole Miss, started Monday’s pre-season game against the San Diego Padres at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona.

Rolison, who worked the first three innings in his fourth outing, allowed one hit, one earned run, walked three and struck out one in Colorado’s 10-2 win.

In his third pre-season MLB game, Rolison allowed four hits and four earned runs against the Cincinnati Reds, in Goodyear, Arizona.

Rolison walked two and struck out two in a high scoring affair won by Colorado, 11-7, March 16.

Facing the Seattle Mariners on March 13, Rolison pitched two shutout innings in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Throwing 32 pitches – 20 strikes – Rolison surrendered three hits and struck out three.

He was one of four different pitchers who combined to throw seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch in Mesa, Arizona, March 7.

Rolison, 23, allowed one hit in two innings of work.
