The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 77-year-old female died Feb. 19 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 184 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 14 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,840 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,266 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 20 to 71.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of those patients are on a ventilator.
