With approximately 900 stores in the running, Reed’s Jewelers – Old Hickory Mall – was named the Pandora Shop-in-Shop store for 2020.
Sales may have been the key component, but Pandora employees followed very strict guidelines – which included training after store hours to win the award.
Pandora products include an assortment of jewelry – rings, earrings and necklaces – but the crown jewel is bracelets, which tells a story by their charms.
Business hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday – Noon to 6 p.m., Sundays.
West Tennessee Healthcare – Shirley Morgan recognized as January’s employee of the month
Shirley Morgan, Nursing Assistant with Hospice, was recognized as January’s Employee of the Month, when the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital District held it monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
Shirley has been an employee at West Tennessee Healthcare for over 44 years.
According to a press release from Amy Garner – Chief Compliance & Communications Officer at West Tennessee Healthcare – Ms. Shirley possesses a good attitude and so many patients have said numerous times how grateful they are for Shirley.

Burger King reopens on Christmasville Cove
Burger King, 2553 Christmasville Cove, has reopened.
The restaurant – which opened in September 2017 – is located in Park Place West across Dr. F.E. Wright Drive from the West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex and the Ballpark at Jackson.
Business hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday – 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays.
The 2,800-square-foot facility closed in September 2020 due to COVID-19.
Burger King also has restaurants at 38 Stonebrook Place, 639 Old Hickory Blvd., 2115 N. Highland Ave., and 462 S. Highland Ave., in Jackson.
Thomsen Farms, Park Place West – Buchanan Realty Group brokers commercial property sales totaling $5.6 million +
Commercial real estate continues to grow in Jackson as Buchanan Realty Group closes two deals to finish 2020.
According to a press release from Summer Paris – Paris Creative Agency – Buchanan Realty Group (BRG) represented the seller in the sale of the 12,000-square-foot building located at 1270 Union University in Thomsen Farms.
FSC WTH Jackson TN LLC purchased the property from FirstChoice Property & Development LLC for $3,843,000.
“Net lease properties are still in high demand as investors look for safe and predictable income streams while also taking advantage of low interest rates,” said Brandon Buchanan, Principal Broker at Buchanan Realty Group.
BRG also represented Drury Development Corporation in the sale of 1.7 acres in Park Place West located at Exit 85 on Interstate 40.
Drury Development Corporation sold the property to OB Land LLC, for $1,775,000.
“This site is arguably the best hotel site in Jackson,” said Buchanan. “It is right in the middle of a mix of retail, restaurants and entertainment. It has the potential to pull in traffic from the hundreds of sports teams that play at the sportsplex and from the thousands of travelers on Interstate 40.”

The Days Inn, 1919 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass, has been sold.
Krishna Hospitality of Jackson LLC, purchased the 120 room hotel from Cypress Hospitality LLC for $1,650,000.
