Darel Darnell, who has worked in laundry at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for over seven years was recognized as November’s Employee of the Month for 2020.

Darel was recognized when the Board of Trustees of the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital District held their first meeting for 2021, Tuesday.

NOTE: In November, the Board of Trustees met virtually.

According to a press release from Amy Garner – Chief Compliance & Communications Officer at West Tennessee Healthcare – Darel exhibits the “above and beyond” work ethic for West Tennessee Healthcare.

When A-9 was the initial COVID-19 floor and used reusable patient gowns, Darel worked countless hours to make sure they were laundered before he left for the day.
