Memphis Woman Pleads Guilty In Shooting Death Of Boyfriend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say a Memphis woman has pleaded guilty in the cold-case shooting death of her boyfriend 15 years ago.

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said 45-year-old Jacqueline Parson-McFarlin was sentenced to 10 years in prison after her plea to voluntary manslaughter last week in Criminal Court.

She was arrested in November 2013 at her home in Conway, Arkansas, and charged in the death of Harvey Glenn. Investigators said the 46-year-old Glenn was shot multiple times on Nov. 24, 2000, during an argument with Parson-McFarlin at the home they shared.

Parson-McFarlin told cold-case detectives in 2013 that she shot Glenn during an argument as they struggled over a gun.

She waived extradition from Arkansas and has been in Shelby County custody since then.
