JACKSON, Tenn. (June 18, 2015) — The man accused of stealing merchandise from display cases at Little’s Jewelry on June 3 was arraigned in Jackson City Court on Thursday.

Lyle Wesley Andrews is accused of going into Little’s Jewelers on Vann Drive and using a hammer to break two display cases before taking several pieces of merchandise.
Police say the robbery occured around 5 p.m. June 3, and witnesses told them the man ran from the store and left in a silver Ford Ranger pickup truck.
Officers recovered a silver Ford Ranger at Howard Johnson Inn on Vann Drive. Inside the vehicle, officers found a hammer and broken glass. When police contacted the owner of the truck, he told them Andrews had borrowed the truck earlier that day, according to the affidavit.
Witnesses identified Andrews from a photo lineup.
According to court papers, Andrews is accused of stealing more than $100,000 in merchandise from the store.
Andrews has been charged with theft over $60,000.
