JPD – Officer Cameron Preslar presented Lifesaving Medal for act of heroism

From the Jackson Police Department –

Please join the Jackson Police in congratulating former Jackson Police Officer Cameron Preslar who is now an Investigator with the Chester County Sheriff Department for receiving the Jackson Police Department’s Life Saving Medal.

Chief Julian Wiser presented a Lifesaving Medal to Officer Cameron Preslar for his act of heroism, Thursday.

On November 24, 2016, Officer Preslar then assigned to the south Precinct, responded to 238 Summar Drive (Pathways) in reference to a 911 call to Central Dispatch where a man stated his son had stabbed an employee at Pathways.

Officer Preslar arrived on the scene to find the Pathways’ employee down on the floor suffering from over one hundred (100) penetrating knife wounds to her body. Officer Preslar immediately began rendering life saving measures on the victim until relieved by EMS. The victim, eight (8) months pregnant at the time, was then transported to the Jackson Madison County General Hospital emergency room.

Officer Preslar’s timely actions in rendering medical aid and comfort to the victim, who appeared at the time to have suffered mortal wounds, is a testament to his capabilities. Officer Preslar’s actions epitomize the best police officer qualities of motivation, commitment, and selfless service. His exceptional efforts that day saved two lives, that of the Pathways’ employee, and her then yet to be born child.

Thank you for your life saving service!!!
