A project to renovate a building owned by Jackson Energy Authority at 119 E. College St., is scheduled to be completed by September 7.
JEA is scheduled to move its Human Resource, Information Technology departments and Call Center into the building.
Renovation is about 65 percent complete on the facility, which has been vacated since 2013 following a water leak.
All interior rooms have been removed by a demolition project, which was completed in 2014.
JEA’s Board of Directors authorized a contract with TLM Associates, Inc., for design services and construction management for an amount not to exceed $225,000.
The estimated cost of renovation is $3,000,000, and the estimated interior office furnishings are priced at $300,000.
Bids are being taken for the furnishings, and the bid opening is scheduled for June 16.
