JACKSON Tenn (June 3, 2015) – Shortly after 5:00 Tuesday afternoon Jackson Police were called to Little’s Jewelers on Vann Drive after a suspect escaped with thousands of dollars in jewelry.

According to witnesses, the suspect first came in the store inquiring about a credit application.  He left and then came back in with a large hammer and began smashing cases and grabbing jewelry including high-end Rolex watches.

The man was very calm, said one witness.

Police have linked the suspect with a small white pickup truck which they have in custody.

Authorities have released security camera photos of the alleged jewel thief.
