JPD needs assistance identifying person of interest

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a Theft of Property and need assistance identifying a person of interest.

According to a press release, on October 10, a local businessman paying for items at a self-check inside of Walmart, 2196 Emporium Drive, was robbed of his money bag by an unidentified black female wearing glasses and a long gray sweater.

Surveillance video captures the woman picking up the money bag from the register and leaving the store. The bag contained approximately $2,200.00. Surveillance video also captures the unidentified female opening the bag and verifying the contents.

The female was last seen leaving in a light colored full size pick-up truck with an extended cab.
